Honest journalism is rare these days. Although reporting on watches is less important than some, we feel that honesty and integrity are important. This manifests as an openness with the brands we write about, and most importantly, an openness with you, the reader.

Anyone can write an article full of stats, it's a little harder to tell a story. If you want the stats, the brands website is the place to go. We want to go deep into the people and the stories behind every company and watch we write about. Sometimes it's personal, sometimes it's not, but it will always be unique.

I used to feel uncomfortable walking into a watch boutique, to the point where I was to nervous to try anything on. I never what my readers to feel like I did, so The Subdial is inclusive at it's core. No silly questions, no elitism only family.

We believe in a long term approach when building a business. The Subdial will never sell out to make a quick buck and will only promote or sell products that we truly believe in. When we approach decisions, we consider the long term consequences. How do our actions benefit The Subdial in ten, twenty even fifty years.
