Laurent Ferrier is an independent Swiss watch brand founded in 2010 by the watchmaker of the same name, who spent 37 years at Patek Philippe before establishing his own company. The brand is celebrated for extreme elegance combined with genuine technical innovation — particularly the natural escapement, a proprietary lever escapement design that improves efficiency and accuracy. The natural escapement is Laurent Ferrier's most significant technical innovation — a double direct-impulse lever escapement where the impulse is delivered directly to the balance wheel without the friction losses inherent in the conventional Swiss lever escapement.
