Laurent Ferrier is renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and elegant design, embodying the essence of traditional Swiss watchmaking. The brand is celebrated for its attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials, appealing to connoisseurs of fine timepieces.

Laurent Ferrier is an independent Swiss watch brand founded in 2010 by the watchmaker of the same name, who spent 37 years at Patek Philippe before establishing his own company. The brand is celebrated for extreme elegance combined with genuine technical innovation — particularly the natural escapement, a proprietary lever escapement design that improves efficiency and accuracy. Ferrier's watches are for collectors who want Patek Philippe-level refinement from an independent manufacture.
The natural escapement is Laurent Ferrier's most significant technical innovation — a double direct-impulse lever escapement where the impulse is delivered directly to the balance wheel without the friction losses inherent in the conventional Swiss lever escapement. This increases the efficiency of energy transfer, improving isochronism and accuracy. The escapement is entirely in-house developed and represents genuine horological research rather than a marketing complication.
The Galet (French for 'pebble') is Laurent Ferrier's core collection — named for the smooth, flowing case shape that references river-polished stones. The Galet Micro-Rotor is the entry point, featuring a peripheral micro-rotor automatic movement that leaves the movement visible. The Galet Classic Tourbillon and Annual Calendar Tourbillon represent the pinnacle of the collection. All Galet pieces share a philosophy of maximum elegance with minimum visual noise.
