Porsche Design is renowned for its sleek, minimalist timepieces that blend precision engineering with modern aesthetics. The brand’s watches reflect the legacy of Porsche’s innovative design philosophy and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Porsche Design is a German lifestyle and design brand founded in 1972 by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche — the designer of the Porsche 911 — producing watches, eyewear, and accessories defined by the same functional design philosophy that shaped the 911. Porsche Design watches are characterised by a monochromatic industrial aesthetic, typically using matte black finishes, titanium cases, and designs that foreground mechanical function over decorative ornament.
The Chronograph 1 (1972) — the world's first all-black wristwatch, designed by F.A. Porsche himself — is the brand's founding reference and one of the most iconic watch designs of the 20th century. Its titanium case and black dial were radical at launch. Modern interpretations continue in production. The Porsche Design Chronograph series continues with various iterations. The brand also partners with Flyback and other complications suited to the performance orientation of the brand.
Porsche Design Group is a separate company from Porsche AG, though both trace their origins to the Porsche family. Founded by F.A. Porsche as an independent design consultancy, Porsche Design Group now operates as a subsidiary of Porsche AG following a 2020 acquisition. The watch brand licenses the Porsche Design name and shares the design philosophy. Watches are manufactured by third-party Swiss companies under the Porsche Design brand, and are positioned in the upper-mid luxury segment with a clear automotive design identity.
