Bovet is a Swiss haute horlogerie house revered for its hand-decorated timepieces, convertible cases, and mechanical artistry rooted in nearly two centuries of tradition.

Bovet 1822 is an independent Swiss watch and clock brand founded in 1822, known for extraordinary enamel miniature painting dials, flying tourbillons, and spectacular grand complications. The brand has a strong historical connection to the Chinese market — founder Edouard Bovet established a trading relationship with China in the early 19th century. Today Bovet produces highly collectible pieces celebrated for their artistic craftsmanship as much as their horological content.
Bovet is celebrated for hand-painted enamel miniature dials — tiny artworks depicting landscapes, portraits, or floral scenes rendered in translucent enamel on the watch dial, requiring weeks of work by specialist enamellers. Their flying tourbillons — particularly those mounted at 6 o'clock or in a tilted orientation — are technically refined. The Amadeo convertible system allows the watch to convert between wristwatch, pocket watch, and table clock configurations.
Bovet 1822 has been owned since 2001 by Pascal Raffy, an entrepreneur who purchased the brand and invested heavily in in-house manufacturing capability, enamel painting workshops, and complication development. Under Raffy, Bovet established a complete manufacture in Tramelan, Switzerland, and elevated the brand's position in the high complications market. Raffy is personally involved in product direction and has expanded both the technical and artistic dimensions of the collection significantly.
